I’m back… with a new frock!

I’m back… with a new frock!

It’s been a little while, well a long while and soon I can explain where been, but we shall save that for another day!

Any way I simply must show you this Dress I purchased from a company via their face book page Curv’i’licious

Isn’t it fabulous?!

I paid approximately £30 with postage and could have returned it if it it was unsuitable.  I chatted to the owner and she was super helpful even with all my questions! I have a particular material I avoid, I hate pleats at the waist, and the list goes on!

This cold shoulder dress has a beautiful bright pattern which I adore! I am wearing a size 22 and felt extremely comfortable!

I’ve teemed it with bright pink strappy sandals from New Look which were £11 in the sale and are available Here.

I also managed to find a handbag in the exact same colour at a charity shop for £3.

As you can tell, I’ve also had a tan! Well a spray tan! I had an express tan at La Mia Bella at a bargain cost of £12 and if your local to Rhonda Cynon Taff you can visit the salon Here.

Overall I felt great about my outfit and had a fabulous night out! I won’t lie- my feet are still crying from those shoes so maybe a little gel pad would help out next time!

Check out my Instagram for some cheeky snaps of my night out! @lauramcfabulous

Lots of love

My trotters

My trotters

My trotters, as they are known around here are actually my feet.

My trotters are flat. They are completely flat, long and narrow.

They don’t bother me that much, i am very used to them after all these years!  However shoes can be a little nightmare for me and my trotters! Together we can manage a kitten heel but no more than that!

For this holiday, like all the others I Pack what I deem to be comfortable yet pretty. As always, on the first day after a long walk, my trotters are shredded and bleeding with the most attractive blisters you have never seen!

I suppose that day to day long walks are done in my trusty old trainers and not sparkly flip flops.

And, as always on holiday, I have to buy new shoes.

This time I think I actually found shoes that have changed my life.

I literally tripped into a shop selling flip flops, blisters and all. However this was no ordinary shop, this was a Havaianas flip flop shop.

I have heard of them but never purchased any, now I own two pairs!

Removing my little white pumps and placing these flips flops on felt like heaven.  I was in a rush to change shoes and hide my weeping ankles, so I picked a really plain pair.  Had I not been so desperate I would have looked around a bit.

Then the magic words: “would you like to customise, with crystals?” Uh, yeah!!!!

So cute!! I felt like I was walking on air! I can’t believe flip flops could be so comfortable!

I went back the next day and bought a white pair, customising them with little pink flowers.

I feel a collection of these coming on!!!

Have you got a fave shoe brand?

Here’s one I prepared earlier

i love to shop and I love a bargain even more!

I’ve just been through my wardrobe (s) and found this little number.

I bought the dress in a charity shop a few weeks ago and forgot about it.

It is from Yours and I paid £7. It’s a bit different from what I usually wear but I kinda like it!

Shoes are from tesco but are old- like six years old.

Cardigan is from Store 21- I know it was bargain but I can’t remember how much it was!

So, I have proved overall to myself that I do not need to panic buy for five days away- I have plenty!!!

Do you feel the need to have a new outfit for everything occasion?

Spring cleaning

Spring cleaning

its that time of year again. The time where you get four days off in a row, just because you love in the UK! Awesome!

As I am Away so much, certain things get put to one side shall we say! Things like paper work get out in organised piles, ‘stuff’ get put in the draws and the wardrobe becomes a game of open and grab before the clothes monster gets you.

It’s time for a sort out.

I started with my shoe collection. I am a hoarder, there is no doubt about that. SEVEN pairs of nude coloured heels, three unwearable and beyond repair. Yet they are so hard to say good bye too!

Result:  6 pairs of shoes in various states of unfixable in the bin!

I started on the wardrobe and then got carried away with trying on a the lovely clothes I had forgotten about! I also put a load of stuff on eBay such as this lovely:

Parting with Monsoon dresses is very hard for me! But when you have not worn it in a long time, it needs to fly the nest and make room for something new!

As you know it has recently been my birthday. As you are also getting to know, I hoard everything- including birthday cards! I had some lovely cards this year and decided that I was going to do something with them- ta daaaaa!

It has been great to have some time to sort things like this out around the house. I love decorating and being creative so I have really been enjoying myself!

However, I have managed to be out and about quite a bit as well!

Whatever you are doing, I hope you are having a lovely break!

I’m off to tackle my kitchen…..
