#ootd birthday lunch to dinner

#ootd birthday lunch to dinner

As I haven’t been very wel for a while, I have had plenty of time to shop on the Internet to find some clothes to wear for my birthday!

Here is my day look:

  • Kimono-Rogers & Rogers
  • Vest- Evans
  • Cropped trousers- TKMaxx
  • Shoes- M&S

I felt comfortable yet glam is this outfit! I will defiantly be wearing this again!!

  • Dress-ASOS
  • Shoes- Clarkes

I wasn’t sure about this dress until I put it on! I loved it!

Because you can tie it at the waist it gives you a great shape, and the cross over at the boobs makes the girls look fabulous!

I have a large chest so I did fee that I needed to pin myself into this so that I didn’t fall out at any time.

However, an extremely comfortable dress for a night out- highly reccomend!

What have you worn for a special occasion?

#OOTD conference day 2

#OOTD conference day 2

a full day of presenting in a venue that is mostly glass so it is like a green house!

I needed to be smart yet cool so here is what I chose:

Jacket- Matalan

Dress- Jaques Vert

Shoes- M&S

I originally bought the dress for a wedding, but once I removed the ribbon belt it made a pretty work dress! It’s floaty and cool but smart enough to give me confidence!

I hope you all had a lovely day!

#OOTD work conference

#OOTD work conference

depending on where you work, there may be a set dress code for a conference.

Where I work there seems to be a varied interpretation on ‘smart casual office wear.’

However, as this is a conference that I am running, I decided smart is the only way to go!

Here is my outfit for day 1:

Jacket and skinny fit trousers – Matalan

Top and bag – Next

Shoes – M&S

Necklace – Oasis

I love the bag because it gives that splash of colour!

What do you guys wear for a meeting at work?

Stay fabulous

#ootd date day

#ootd date day

so the beloved actually took note of what I was saying and took me on a date to the local Italian, La Trattoria.

Here is what I wore. As always excuse my stupid faces I just can’t do this posing thing.

dress- Monsoon

Shrug- yours

Shoes- M&S

Jewellery-Dorothy Perkins

The last time I wore this dress it felt so uncomfortable as it was far too tight. This evening I felt comfortable and dare I say, pretty. Slowly but surely.

I also tried to recreate the curls that the hair dresser did yesterday. I do believe I failed miserably!

More importantly- you have to see what I ate!!!

Three courses for £11.95- it would be rude not too really.

 Starter: bruschetta

main course: lasagna
 Desert- Grandma’s chocolate tart
If you are in Pontypridd or Talbot Green- I highly recommend you try these restaurants! I can not tell you the unbelievable value of this early bird menu! The ingredients are super fresh and therefore the food is super tasty. Check out the website: http://www.trattoriarestaurant.com

Stay romantic.

Interview outfit

Interview outfit

So….. I have an interview next week, and I’m nervous!

I won’t say what and when but do keep your fingers crossed for me please!

I need to feel confident, capable and on top of my game! Therefore lots of preparation, and a new outfit is needed!

Here is what I have purchased, I would love to know what you think!

Please excuse my face, I’m very tired after preparing all weekend!

The dress (£30)and jacket (£22) are from Matalan, and the shoes (£35) are from M&S.

It was more than I wanted to spend but I loved the outfit and the shoes are the second pair I have bought – exactly the same! Comfy, hardworking and perfect for the office!

What do you think?

I also have to say I was a little pleased with myself. Last time I visited Matalan, I could not fit into anything. If I did get it on, it was touch and go if I would get it off in one piece! Gym and healthy eating are making a difference, and I’m going to keep at it!

What do you do when you are nervous about a work thing?

Charity shop treasures

Charity shop treasures

As you know, I work in charity retail within the UK, and you can often find me having a good old rummage around the charity shops where ever I may be in the country!

I got dressed this morning and thought: wow! All of these things are from charity shops!

What do you think?

Dress: Monsoon £15

Cardigan: Marks & Spencer’s £6

Shoes: Lotus £9

I was so pleased with the shoes! I have a poorly foot which will be operated on soon, and shoes are particularly troublesome for me right now!

Lotus shoes are something I remember my grandmother wearing! However these days they are still very comfortable but also stylish! I have several pairs now, and it’s my go to brand for the summer!

If you haven’t visited any charity shops recently, I would highly reccomend you go! Why not take a bag of clothes you no longer wear with you to donate? If you do, don’t forget to Gift Aid them, as the charity is able to claim the tax back at a rate of 25p for every £1 they sell your item for!

What treasures have you found?
